hi hi all

Well I'm currently working on a cyborg bunny space pirate costume.  I'm currently working on the arm.

It's currently unpainted as you can see but I think it's coming along nice

I'm waiting on spray paint so I've decided to switch focus to my helmet
Originally I was simply planning to use a image of my space pirate symbol on the helmet but after working on a hat I came up with an interesting Idea.

Which do you folks think would look better

by the way here is the hat I made

Hard to say, really.

But this should be awesome when you finish it. The basic shapes you have so far for the arm look like they'll be great when painted, to me at least.

It gives me a flashback to FurryMUCK's FurrySpace, and the Borg Bunnies who handed out panthlets on the befits of assumulation. Cool

Should look good. You'll have to watch for exposed skin around the elbows when it's worn. You may need body paint so that people don't see the contrast.

Apart from that, the concept really reminds me of the Inlay robots form SSDD.

I was planning to wear a gray long sleeved shirt under the armor so no one should notice

Well I've started the base paint and started work on the pincer arm

I've got some detailing and weathering to do.

I ment to go with a less shiny paint, and thought I had.  But when I got home I had silver

Oh well

Well I've built the pincer hand

It's my second attempt.  The first's claws were too long and too heavy.  This one is half as long with a guide for the pincer.  It should look good when It's done.

Looks like a decent design.  Exert force to close, right?

Mmm. Very decent looking pincer claws. Looks like once they're painted they'll be quite heavy looking, which is always good.

This entire design looks very 70s sci-fi, by the way. Which is decidedly not a bad thing.

Thanks

and your right It takes force to close.
I'm thinking of trimming a little off the inside of the claws and adding rubber to the inside.

Thanks

I realy wanted it to look a bit primitive

I'm thinking of painting the claws silverand most of the arm I'll leave black

But it should be pretty cool

Well I did a little work on my pincer hand today

I added a covering to the sides and I think that realy looks good. I also added some plastic tubbing over the elastics.

Also I'm debating the color of the pants I'll wear for the costume

I've found a site that sells pants in my size that I think would be be apropriate.  which color scheme do you think would look best on a cyborg space pirate

Urban Camo (shades of gray and white)
Swat Team black
Navy Blue
or Gray

Wow, it seems more manœuvrable than I would have expected it to be.
Definitely looks nead with the tubes and side stuff, btw.
