I think it might be prudent to float this question out there to everyone, now that sufficient time has passed since FireyTiger and Manufacturing Dissent voiced their concerns on the downhill trend of the forum.

I do think it's a little too early to be asking this. It's only been a week and a half since we brought it up, and change does take time. Don't think that we're not still working on it though.

I'm sorry, you still seem to think your opinion is relevant.  Please re-examine the earlier posts and try again.

Okay, yeah, I probably jumped the gun here.

Modifying thread and poll to slightly better fit the state of affairs...

I have to agree with FT, it's far too early to tell.  Things have shown definate signs of improvement, but the real question is whether it will last.  I am feeling hopeful that it will, and am not regretting that I decided to stay as an active member after all.  Keep up the good work, everyone!

The only only improvement I've noticed so far is splitting threads that go off topic. I think that's working. We actually got some relevant discussion about Cuba in 'Bye Bye to the Beard' now, so I'd like to thank the staff for that.

On the other hand, I've not seen any change in the behaviour of members, nor do I really expect any.

I can see some improvements.

But there's still some way to go.

And how it goes is entirely up to everyone here.

The future is unwritten.
