Arguably, within a mostly capitalistic system, all labour is slave labour in that for the most part taking oneself out of the labour pool is simply not an option.

This is also why market forces do not apply to the labour force within capitalism.

I meant that they forced people to work with no pay.

I have my doubts about it, but I heard it somewhere.

Like the recent one for $385 million to build a network of "detention centers" in case of "rapid deployment of new programs" or some such nonsense.  I'm *really* hoping it proves to just be theft of $385 million, because the alternative is *worse*.
